Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candle away from flammable materials. Place a lit candle out of the reach of children and pets. Stay at least 10 cm away from burning candles. Protect your candle from drafts. Always place your candle on a flat and heat-resistant surface. Prevent smoke from forming by trimming the wick to 3mm using wick trimmers. Never move a burning candle. Wait for the wax to cool down. Always extinguish the candle with a candle extinguisher. Keep away from other heat sources. Do not drop matches, wick clippings, or other contaminants into the wax. Allow the top layer of wax to become liquid right up to the edge to avoid tunneling. When there is only about 1 cm of wax left, you should stop using the candle. Only use votive candles and tea lights with a suitable holder.
