Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep the candle away from flammable materials. Place a lit candle out of reach of children and pets. Maintain a distance of at least 10 cm from lit candles. Protect your candle from drafts. Always place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Prevent smoke from forming by shortening the wick to 3mm using wick scissors. Never move a lit candle. Wait until the wax has cooled. Always extinguish the candle with a snuffer. Keep away from other heat sources. Do not drop matches, wick pieces or other impurities into the wax. Allow the top layer of wax to liquefy to the edge to prevent tunneling. When there is only about 1 cm of wax left, stop using the candle. Only use votive candles and tealights with a suitable holder.
